Protecting the privacy, confidentiality and security of your health information is very important to Brooklyn Plaza Medical Center. Patient health information isn’t just a good thing to secure; it’s the law.  Under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), your medical records and other health information that you provide to us is privileged information. Our staff and providers will only access your information as it is necessary to do their jobs. They cannot share your medical record information without your consent, unless the safety and welfare of others is at stake. If you ever feel like your privacy has been violated, please call the Center’s Compliance Officer.
