LETTER FROM THE CEO

Letter from the CEO

We at Brooklyn Plaza Medical Center, Inc. (BPMC) are here to Promote a Healthier Brooklyn through quality medical care. We plan to do whatever is needed to fully implement new initiatives that reduce disparities in healthcare and educate the community about healthy living.

We collaborate with Benjamin Banneker Academy High School providing them with a school-based medical facility, which is run and operated by our staff. Our other satellite site, Whitman-Ingersoll-Farragut Health Center (WIFHC) of BPMC, serves the residents of the Fort Greene housing developments. We collaborate with the tenant associations to insure that the residents are receiving on-going quality healthcare services. We are a Level 3 Patient Centered Medical Home, a program recognized by the National Committee for Quality Assurance as measuring qualities to improve healthcare. We also use eClinical Works, an electronic medical records system, which allows our providers to access medical records more efficiently and in a timely fashion.
Being a daughter, mother, grandmother, friend and a former resident of Fort Greene, I am extremely passionate about my community and it gives me great joy to provide a much needed service to not only the residents of Fort Greene but to all of Brooklyn.

As our communities change and grow, I can assure you that BPMC will remain committed to providing this community with top notch services for all your health needs. As stated in our Mission Statement, BPMC is dedicated to improving the physical, spiritual and psychological well-being of the residents of North Central Brooklyn. We are here for the long haul, in good times and bad times. We will continue to be neighborly and to not only maintain good relations with the people who are here with us, but to do something extra.

The doors of BPMC welcome all with genuine concern, understanding and compassion for the patients’ and community’s health needs. We are a staff of ordinary people doing extraordinary things to make BPMC a part of the solution to a majority of this community’s health care needs. The progress made is a reflection of the outstanding efforts put forth time and time again to build a better BPMC.

REMEMBER, BEING HEALTHY IS RIGHT FOR EVERYONE!

Promoting a Healthier Brooklyn…
