Prior to his appointment as CEO of BPMC in April 2020, Mr. Onorato, an attorney, had served as outside legal counsel to BPMC for over 25 years, providing comprehensive advice and counsel on a wide range of health care and regulatory matters. A skilled health care counsel and litigation attorney, Mr. Onorato has extensive experience working with non-profit health care organizations and providers. Most recently, he has served as senior vice president and general counsel of an international not-for-profit provider of substance abuse treatment and primary medical care services. In private practice, his clients have included clinics, substance abuse and alcoholism treatment facilities, mental health facilities, congregate and supportive housing programs, clinical laboratories, physicians' associations and individual physicians. Mr. Onorato joined BPMC in October 2018, and served as Chief Counsel and Special Projects, until his most recent appointment as CEO.

 Pascale Kersaint, MD, FAAP – Chief Medical Officer 

Pascale Kersaint, MD, FAAP is Brooklyn Plaza Medical Center’s newest Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and a practicing board certified pediatrician. Most recently, she was the CMO of the Bedford Stuyvesant Family Health Center where for over a decade she led its transformation into a data driven organization. She spearheaded adoption of its electronic health record and data analytic reporting systems which led to improvements in both quality and productivity metrics. As an early adopter, she was instrumental in promoting the National Committee for Quality Assurance Patient Centered Medical Home model among federally qualified health centers in New York State. She served on the board of the Community Health Center Association of New York State (CHCANYS) and held speaking engagements at several of its conferences. Dr. Kersaint is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and received her medical degree from SUNY Downstate Health Science Center where she also completed her residency. During residency, she became sensitized to the health disparities found in many areas of Brooklyn and therefore, has promoted initiatives in support of health equity throughout her career.

Daniel Desire, CPA- Chief Financial Officer

Daniel Desire is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York with over thirty-five years of experience in serving the Nonprofit and for-profit sectors. He was a Partner at a top 20 accounting Firm for over a decade and was also a Director at the fifth largest account Firm in the nation. Dan is a graduate of Baruch College and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. Dan has worked in the following Sectors: Not-for-Profit and For Profit, Health Care (Community Health Centers, Nursing Homes, Assisted Living and Home Health Agencies), Religious Organizations, Social Services Organizations, Educational Organizations, Section 8 housing. Mr. Desire’s industry expertise includes: Financial Statement audits, Federal (A-133) audits, Health Care, Employee benefit plan audits, Advisory services and 990 and CHAR500 tax returns for Exempt Organization.

Caleb Terry- Chief Compliance Officer

Caleb L. Terry was born and raised in Harlem, USA. He is a product of Harlem and the NYC public schools system where he eventually graduated from George Westinghouse Vocational and Technical H.S.

After high school he attended Rochester Institute of Technology where is studied Professional and Technical Communications. Caleb obtained a certificate in Human Resource Management from NYU and a certificate in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion from the University of South Florida.

Caleb was employed with Housing Works, Inc. for 15 years serving in various roles from the Director of Training and Development and Vice President for Human Resources to his last role as Vice President for Compliance & Human Resources before leaving in 2019.

Prior to working at Housing Works, Caleb served in several roles ending as the IT Director for Do Something, Inc. While there, he began consulting via a company he founded, Terry Consulting, where he consulted with non-profits offering custom training and IT solutions. That offering eventually expanded

In addition to his current professional role as Chief Compliance Officer for Brooklyn Plaza Medical Center, Caleb is currently Board Secretary for Diaspora Community Services and an active member of the Queens Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. where he runs their Kappa League mentorship Program that meets two Saturdays per month with middle and high school age young men of color.

Caleb’s passion for his life’s work come from his love for his family and community.

Donna M. Hayes - Practice Manager

Donna Hayes, a Native New Yorker, born and raised in Brooklyn, is a former Paralegal with education and training in the areas of Law, Sociology, Psychology and Childhood Education. In 2009, Ms. Hayes advanced her skills and experience to area of health care, having accepted the position as the Executive Administrative Assistant to the CEO of Brooklyn Plaza Medical Center, Inc., a not-for-profit community-based health center located in the Fort Greene section of Brooklyn.  By this experience, Ms. Hayes has enhanced her skills and grown within the organization.  As a result of hard work and recognition of her dedication, Ms. Hayes was promoted to, and currently serves as Practice Manager, working in conjunction with the Executive Team to oversee administrative operations.  She sits on several and diverse committees such as Emergency Management, Policy, Compliance, Risk Management and QA/QI.  Ms. Hayes is also a Notary Public for the State of New York, recognized in Kings, New York and Nassau Counties.


Ms. Hayes attended private schools through high school and she acquired an A.A.S. from New York City Technical College and a B.A. from The College of New Rochelle.   Serious in refining and enhancing her skills and knowledge base, Ms. Hayes participates in many conferences, webinars, seminars, etc. to acquire information and insight into the dynamics of healthcare and methods and modalities of advancing her skills. 


A firm believer of celebrating life – Donna believes that the glass is always half full.  Family is everything and striving to keep a good work/life balance is an ultimate goal.
